CHRISTIAN CHALLENGE OF COLORADO
A ministry on the campus of University of Colorado Boulder committed to providing opportunities for students to better know Jesus Christ and honor God in their relationships. We create opportunities for spiritual growth through worship, Bible studies, and fellowship. These weekly events teach us how being a Christian affects our daily lives and help us build close bonds of friendship. Christian Challenge at CU is directed by several full-time staff members, who cast vision and provide leadership to help students grow closer to God. Our ministry is Bible-based -- we believe it to be God’s Word with instructions for true life.
BLESSED HANDS BAPTIST DEAF CHURCH
The primary ministry of Blessed Hands Baptist Deaf Church is to the deaf community of Big Spring and to the students at the Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf (SWCID), where they are ministering to deaf from around the USA as well as to students from several foreign countries. The church maintains a regional focus by ministering to the deaf community in Midland and Odessa also. The church offers two worship services, transportation to and from the college for events, individual and group Bible studies, and spiritual and emotional counseling in the heart language of the Deaf – American Sign Language. The church is involved with the Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) at SWCID and also provides opportunities for the students to do ministry service in cooperation with local churches in the area.
KAIROS PRISON MINISTRY
A lay-led, interdenominational Christian ministry in which men and women volunteers bring Christ’s love and forgiveness to prisoners and their families. The Kairos programs take the participants on a journey that demonstrates the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. Kairos Prison Ministry is Christian in nature, although no religious affiliation is necessary to be a participant. They involve a structured model that includes the weekend experience, followed by guests or participants gathering regularly for accountability, support and prayer. Kairos Prison Ministry is made up of three programs, which reach over 25,000 people annually: Kairos Inside, Kairos Outside, and Kairos Torch.
AARON CAMPBELL/AUSTIN STONE STORY TEAM
Aaron serves as a filmmaker and project manager for Story Team at The Austin Stone Community Church. Story Team is a community of artists at The Austin Stone who tell honest and encouraging stories of gospel transformation. Our hope is to inspire the church to worship Jesus for who He is and to remember what He has done. Austin Stone has a team of volunteer photographers, writers, editors, filmmakers, and musicians. Story Team is a family of artists on a common mission to use our gifts for His glory.
ALLRED FAMILY/EAGLE RIVER, ALASKA
The Allred family lead Catalyst Church in Eagle River, Alaska. Catalyst meets in the local coffee house and is a “come as you are contemporary” church. I also coach and mentor a network of five ministries. The network consist of The Centre, Core AK, Trades of Grace, Mosaic and Plant to Plant. The Centre is a youth focused community outreach center in our local mall. The ministry is focused on tutoring, discipleship and core value mentoring. Core AK, is an on base military discipleship ministry investing in Airmen and soldiers. T.O.G. is a construction ministry geared toward discipling men to become Godly leaders through craftsmanship. Mosaic is an on campus collegiate outreach and ministry. Finally Plant-to-Plant is our multiplying church planting network. We raise pastors and worship leaders to multiply the Gospel throughout our state.
COLLEGE GOLF FELLOWSHIP
CGF is the only Christian ministry with the specific purpose of building into the lives of college golfers and coaches, sharing the hope of Christ with them, and discipling those who have placed their trust in Him. CGF was birthed out of the PGA Tour players’ bible study in 1980 and many of the current believers on tour today continue to speak at college golf tournament dinners, host retreats for 20-80 guys at their homes over the summer and winter breaks, and invest in local and worldwide missions projects with their time and finances.
INLAND CHURCH/SPOKANE, WASHINGTON
Inland Church is a young church in Spokane, Washington. Inland Church hopes to be a welcoming family, committed to practicing the restorative way of Jesus for the good of Spokane. With the help of various partnerships, such as FBC Midland, Inland Church has steadily grown in number and in maturity. Our vibrant and loving community has truly given many people a church home that they couldn’t find elsewhere. Actively engaging and caring for our city is another of our key concerns. Through partnering with various organizations and events, we have been able to join in the good things already happening in Spokane.
LIFE RECOVERED
Life Recovered is a ministry that offers support and encouragement for ministry leaders. Our team serves ministry leaders through retreats, seminars and biblical counseling/mentoring to help them deal productively with life issues and proper life balance. The mission of Life Recovered is to help them find help and healing in the spiritual, physical, emotional, psychological and relational areas of life in order to serve the Lord, their families and ministries more effectively. Strengthened and encouraged ministry leaders will lead to stronger marriages and families, stronger churches and ministries and greater Kingdom work.
COLLEGIATE NAVIGATORS
Justin (formerly of FBC Midland) and Jonna Hester are the Regional Directors for the collegiate Navigators in the Pacific Northwest. They have been on staff with the Navigators for 17 years and have been Campus Directors at Texas Tech, Penn State, and the University of Georgia. Currently, they live in Corvallis, Oregon and assist with the ministry at Oregon State and lead the Navigator campus ministries in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. The collegiate timeframe is crucial to share the Gospel. During college many Christians often become sidelined in their walk with God, and some point, their faith.
NORTHWEST COLLEGIATE MINISTRIES
A ministry of local Southern Baptist Churches, and a campus club on 5 different college campuses in the Portland Metro Area. Our desire is to love God, reach out to all people, and disciple students in Jesus Christ to develop into mature Christians who impact our campus, community, and the world. Each campus carries out this mission in various ways including on-and-off campus Bible Studies, community service projects, discipleship activities and mission trips. Your church provides funding specifically for Clackamas Community College, as well as special events for the other campuses.
RED RIVER MINISTRIES
Red River Ministries’ desire is to engage/love/serve/lead/release. We engage by being present on campus daily in Austin. While our heart is to love everyone, we intentionally love and pursue those with whom God gives us favor and opportunity. We do this through weekly bible study on campus and one on one and small group discipleship. We serve students and teach them to serve. Being a college ministry, we then release them to be life-long Christ followers wherever God plants them next. We walk beside students and teach them about living out of the overflow of their pursuit of Christ. We believe the Word of God will take us places we cannot go on our own, so we are active in Bible study. We believe the local church is God’s plan for true community so we shepherd students to be involved in the local church. We intentionally go and serve through local and international service opportunities. We have been walking out this ministry since 2005 and will continue as long as God calls and allows.
FEED MY SHEEP HOMELESS MINISTRY
Lee and Jana Price are founders of two local non-profits Feed My Sheep Homeless Ministry (feedmysheephomelesssministry.org) & River Center (rivercenternewcastle.org). Lee also loves to equip missionaries in areas of church planting, discipleship, and regional prayer ministry as he now directs a missionary organization called Advance Him (www.advancehim.org).
ROOTS COMMUNITY
Our heart is to love and serve Roosevelt and Seattle in the name of Christ, by becoming a fixture in the community and transforming it to look more like Him. Seattle is one of the most influential cities in the United States and yet is also one of the most lost cities as well. With 94% of the population not going to a solid evangelical church, there is a big need in the city for the Gospel. We are living out this mission by Engaging those who don’t know Christ through the Gospel, service, and missions, leading them to Encounter Christ by creating an atmosphere of worship in everything we do, and then Equipping them to walk in obedience to God and become multiplying disciples of Christ.
SPORTS CRUSADERS
A Christ centered organization that connects people with Jesus Christ and the local church by using sports and recreational activities through life-changing common ground ministries. We partner with churches to provide quality sports camps for children and youth. We offer skill-enhancing camps in five sporting endeavors: basketball, soccer, cheerleading, volleyball, and baseball/softball. Camp P82 at-risk ministry provides children and youth an opportunity to hear about the life-changing message of Jesus Christ, and have an opportunity to attend an overnight camp filled with exciting and challenging outdoor recreational activities.
MISSION AVIATION FELLOWSHIP/IDAHO
John and Nancy Hook are Mission Aviation Fellowship missionaries serving in the Mobilization Department at the Nampa, Idaho, headquarters. In 1975, the Hooks began their missionary service as a pilot family in Indonesia. After flying 14 years out of various interior bases there, they spent one year flying in Haiti. In 1996, John and Nancy were assigned to MAF headquarters, located in California at the time, as part of the Flight Department staff. John enjoyed working with newly appointed pilots, preparing them for overseas flight assignments. The Hooks’ years of field service have proven to be an invaluable asset to them as they continue to minister Stateside in a variety of ways. In 2003, John transitioned to mobilizing pilots as the need for more and more pilots continued to increase in MAF’s worldwide programs.
